I think this is the right forum to mention this as it applies to the April but not part of the Dragon Zone Game.
Commencing the 5th of April and continuing on to the 10th of April each day I will be publishing a Locationless "Spell a Word".
I am doing this with good intentions and am being up front in the Forum to give advance notice and see if there are any objections to me using the two words.
To be Published on the 5th.
Spell the word CORONAVIRUS using GC and GA finds. A combination of both site if you need them.
On the 6th through to the 9th.
Spell COVID. Finds one for GC and one for GCA
Spell COVID. Hides one for GC and one for GCA.
the bonus one on the 10 will be to spell CORONAVIRUS using your hides and you can use both sites.
From the 11th April I will recommence my First Hides series.
You will need to read each description to understand the guidelines to claim a find on that particular Locationless.
I Hope everyone understands.

A question? - Do all locationless caches count towards dragonZone tasks now?

I can not answer that question but just to clarify my locationless publications each day for April. They are being published to enable everyone who wants to, to be able to claim the Locationless cache which is Hide or find a locationless cache on each day of April. ( 30 days). Nothing to do with Dragon Zone.

Thanks but question came about as you mentioned dragonZone in your post "I think this is the right forum to mention this as it applies to the April Dragon Zone Game" the games are just game of games for all GCA players not just dZ players, hence I got confused.

No. Locationless, virtual, history, etc, geocaches which have no physical container do not count towards dZ activities.

The social isolation and no non-essential travel ban have certainly put a stop to our outdoor caching activities. However, the Geocaching Australia Locationless scene is pushing on through this stay at home period and to date there have been upwards of 120 new Locationless caches published. Not bad for the first 15 days of the month. Jigsaw puzzles, list your first hide, list your first finds and number of finds in a day are just some of the subjects we’ve seen.

With the COVID-19 pandemic still with us, the May edition of the 2020 Game of Games will be the same as April, where Geocaching Australia will publish 3 Locationless caches on the first of the month and you will need to log a find on these 3 caches by the end of the month to go into the draw to win our 2020 celebration pathtag. (Also, don’t forget we have the addition reward for 15 other qualified players, of the ‘Keep Calm and Carry on Geocaching’ button as well.) Note: As these 3 Locationless caches will only be for the May Game of Games, they will be archived at the end of May.

To find out the requirements of the Locationless caches for the month, login on 1st May and all will be revealed.

As for the COVID-19 situation, please remember to follow the advice of the authorities, and hopefully we will be on the other side of it all soon.

Stay safe…

May Game. From the Game page Game Period: 18-May-2020 00:00:00 to 18-May-2020 23:59:59 AEST
Do the 3 locationless photos have to be submitted on the 18th May. Just for clarification. As further down it states Must be in the game month.

It looks like it is set up for what it says as no qualifiers have been listed but two people have already found plants. May need some tweaking.

Thanks. The game was originally set to the 18th of May because that's the "day", but when I changed it to the @Home requirement I forgot to reset the date to the whole month. This has now been corrected and so far I am loving the plants.

WHAT AM I?

I am known to come in many shapes and sizes.

I can have any number of pieces from 12 to 300.

I usually have many colours but can, and have, only had one.

Some people have completed/found 100’s of me.

While some people have published many for us.

I am????

Well, if you do not know what this is, you obviously have not been doing any Locationless caches over the last 6 weeks or so. The answer is of course the jigsaw puzzle. The number that have been published is amazing. We may not know the exact number of jigsaws that have been published, however the overall number of Locationless caches published in the last 6 weeks must be well over 500 by now.

Whatever you think of them, the jigsaws have certainly kept us entertained, amused, maybe a little frustrated, but most importantly in the current climate, off the streets and in our homes. With more isolation on the cards, the number of jigsaws, and Locationless caches in general, being published will no doubt continue.

Speaking of Locationless caches, the June edition of the 2020 Game of Games will again be Locationless Geocaching @Home….and we hope you can cook. To qualify for the month of June and hopefully win one of our 20th anniversary pathtags you will need to show what you have cooked. As usual, a photo must accompany each find. For more details, check the game page.

As for the COVID-19 situation that is still with us, please remember to follow the advice of your local authorities, and hopefully we will be on the other side of it all soon.

Stay safe…

Loving the games so far but raring to log some physical boxes for the next game.
Thank you for the awarding me a prize in the May game, just want to check if any one else received an email, as I never got one yet.
