Re: dragonZone
Yes it is Australia wide, but ONLY Australia. If you've noticed on the Google Maps there is a "Show dragonZones" tick box. Tick that and it will show the appropriate clan control for a given zone. As nothing is controlled yet, they will all show up grey (neutral). When dragonZones start to be controlled, they will show up in the appropriate clan color.
Caches that move outside Australia will drag their dZPoints with them, but won't show up on any dragonZone on a map. When they move back to Australia they will bring the dZPoints back with them.
Thanks for your patience so far. A few small bugs have been discovered now that I'm getting lots of data into the system, so please bear with me.

This is looking epic... new zones loading well on the map... not finding another cache until it launches and I see how the points work hehe

Re: dragonZone
I hadn't really noticed this but I've been looking at trigs on the map and when I bring up the pop-up for the trig details there's a "Clan Control" entry at the bottom. Was wonderin'.

Re: dragonZone
All Geocaching Australia physical caches. The dragons are not appreciative of virtual caches (which include locationsless, virtual and webcams). They only like physical treasures.Laighside Legends wrote:Is this aimed at moving caches or all caches???

Can't wait to sign up.
And hopefully this will mean more of my caches will be found, as I have a few in the zone I am living in.

It's a Geocaching Australia game and restricted to Australia only, so pimp our wares via any means you feel like, including, but not limited to bribery, thuggery or preferably word of mouth if you find the game entertaining.
I look forward to people working out how dZPoints are calculated and strategies for controlling zones. I have three personal strategies that, should I get time to go caching, will be in use. I wonder if strategies will be discussed openly or in secret Facebook Clan Groups?
