The PLOT

Post by homedg » 10 February 08 1:04 am

I love the finds plot feature on GCA.

Who ever came up with that idea deserves a pat on the back! (Pat, Pat, Pat)

My family loves to remember our road trips by looking at our finds plot.

Show us your travels by posting a link to your finds plot.

Quick note from the dev team: Please do as homedg and Pesky! have done and post a LINK to the plot (i.e do not insert the image directly as it will cause some considerable strain on the server.)

Thanks!
We are glad you like the plots.

(There ARE lots of good memories when I go back an look at mine!)[/url]

Have editted my original post to suggest posting the link only.
Would also love to see more plots by cachers who have travelled far and wide.

Hey Webbie, Nice coverage although not hard to see which part of the state that you're passionate about!

Are those plots in Southern Vic the Great Ocean Road? I've done a short run alng there in my pre-caching days but was thinking of planning another family "Griswald" road trip down there.

My Plot

Shows I have done at least one cache in each state, which is technically incorrect, I have logged a virtual locationless cache in SA. Iam yet to do a physical cache there.....

Yes, great ocean road. Was a great part of the trip. Not many places to camp for free though and stuffed if I was going to pay $75 a night for an unpowered patch of grass. That was the most expensive patch of grass we found, and there was a cache up the back of another but they wanted $65 a night and again, was not paying that.

The necklace of finds neatly curves from Blinman to Mossman 8)
But much more interesting is Map Monkey's new avatar. I'm just going to sit and stare at it for the rest of the night
I wonder what the trigger is to make me go out and assassinate the president is though!! :o

A fair bit of ground covered with mine, lots around SA, Yorke and Eyre Peninsula, Melbourne via Mildura and Shepparton; the main highway and Great Ocean Road. And trips to Coffs Harbour via Dubbo and back via Inverell, as well as a few between Sydney and Coffs. Then holiday trips to Brisbane/Gold Coast, Darwin, Perth and Auckland. Still need to nail Tassie though!<p>

I've seen a couple of comments about Map Monkey's new avatar. Can anyone tell me what it looks like? All I see is a blank square with a red 'X' in it....possibly a 'feature' of browsing from work?

That's right BWB, it's JUST a blank square with red cross....very hypnotic though.

To keep this topic on track, my plot is at http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/Map+Mon ... 0_finds/au :P We're off to hammer NZ in June, Tassie in January and NT some time this year with any luck so should add some more green dots to that map.
