Largest distance from an active cacher's base to a cache (either found or unfound):
Yeah, before my record of longest distance to the nearest find of home base (ie how far away from your house is your closest find - that you've found) was pretty good with the closest to Tonga that I had found for a while was in Queensland!

Then I found a virtual in Samoa, that's an hour-half away by plane!! But now back in Canberra, from where I am currently living Braddon Constitutional Cross (the final GZ) is almost within spitting distance..

Whilst I admired IF's journey from Brisbane to Canberra and return, I just realised, I did 2,401km all on the MTB, one continuous journey, finding 15 caches, from Auckland to Invercargill, criss-crossing both islands. (It was a tourist trip, but I found a few caches in great locations on the way). So, I reckon that is the longest distance to find a cache, riding from Auckland to Invercargill, 2401km on a bicycle, Coooeeeee (Yes, I did find one in Invercargill)
Oh, I think I may have misread the original post - that your finds were a very large distance from your home, with nothing in between. Gotcha.

(For about a month my nearest finds were all in Australia, with home base being Victoria. Somehow I think yours of Tonga to a cache stands longer than that. ;)

Well... it wasn't quite a graduation gown, but i'm often caching in completely inappropriate clothing (after melbourne cup in a dress, in fairy costume...)
I quite often have to think twice about walking into possibly snake infested grass in heels.

Forgot I had photographic evidence:

Actually quite practical as far as caching attire goes. Heels would be worse!

Umm, can't remember seeing you in any of these. Not very practical. But neither are those hats... Looks like they don't even keep the Sun off...
