Wow - I've only just hit 196 finds after 13 months living in Adelaide. :? <br>
And Blast - I've just realised I've beaten Freddo's Record (42/196)

I'm guessing that it was a team effort, and not every member of the team was present at every find.

(I stand to be corrected though.)

I think you will find that- yes it was a team effort, but yes every member was present at every find. They were very specific about this during their planning.

Stand up, Ian!

I was the driver and sort-of scrutineer and I can confirm that the whole mob of 8 of them was at least involved in every cache-hunt.

Of course, given the fact that the vast majority of caches were found in under 30 seconds, it was mostly only one of them who actually saw the cache in situ, but that's the nature of this sort of activity. Similarly, only the actual finder and one stickerer stayed at the cache to sticker the logbook and replace the cache, while the others piled back into the minivan, ready to roar off to the next one.

A few caches were skipped because of the risk of being observed by nearby muggles, and one or two caches used a couple of 'decoys' to draw attention while another team member found, logged, and replaced the cache. Another advantage of the team approach.

All in all, though, there was no "distributed caching", no skipping of caches by any of the team to rest, and no undue risking of the caches' integrity during the day.

They had plenty of time to crack 200, but ran out of caches on their prepared list and spent the last 90 minutes or so scratching through the database for other caches to find!

What a great group of guys, we had the honor of the team coming to the SA event "A Xmas Pub Lunch No 11 - On the Balcony", and announcing their achievement.

Have a safe trip back, And it's not about the numbers... :P :P

This is the back of the shirt that the team wore to the Lunch (but not on the raid itself):

I wore a special version of this on the raid (since I pretty much stayed in the van) with this on the front:

Did I mention that these guys were organised? :)
