I'd go to Tassie anytime for a holiday, its a great place. I will be there next month bushwalking at Frenchman's Cap and doing some caching around Hobart for the first time.
So a caching weekend would be great fun but not too soon. If you did mean 2009 that would definitely suit me. Methinks that you do need to give LOTS of notice for such an event anyway so that people could plan around it.

If it is allowed, would it be worth having a sticky for the event website at http://megaevent.tasgeocaching.com ? This way, anyone new to the forum will be made aware of the mega event and if interested, will be able to make plans to attend.

As the plans are not set in stone, this venue or timetable may change, but we will continue with an event in 2009 regardless of other variablesandiamo wrote:If it is allowed, would it be worth having a sticky for the event website at http://megaevent.tasgeocaching.com ? We are meeting at least twice a week to get this sorted as quickly as possible so people can book accommodation, hire cars etc.
But we'd love to have it as a sticky once we know precisely what is happening!
