Cool Kids Caching Competition

Post by caughtatwork » 17 July 07 10:40 pm

With River Deep to Mountain High all but erased from our memories (I hope everyone has received their coins by now, BTW), a few lamented that some kids couldn't accompany the rest of the family on some of the harder finds in this game.

Well, you can now start holding your breath for the Cool Kids* Caching Competition.

OK, don't actually hold your breath as it will be taking place during September, so if you do hold your breath, you'll probably be dead by then and then who'd take the kids caching? Hmmm?

The Cool Kids Caching Competition has been designed by THENANKS, MadMyers and caughtatwork to be especially friendly to kids. No great whacking mountains to climb in this game.

A large variety of requirements to choose from and smaller total number to achieve. Easy peasy.

More details will be posted as the time approaches with registrations available from the beginning of August.

C'mon kids. It's your turn to make the oldies get up on the weekend and let you find caches of all sorts and sizes. Not only do you get the enjoyment of finding caches, but there will be a prize or two (or 80) involved.

*Kids are 14 years and younger for the purposes of this game. Actual age, not the age you act, m'kay.

Were you also born on February 29?
Do you drive a car?
Can you go into a pub and have an alcoholic drink?
Do you have to vote?
Do you look 14?

Have you asked Geotalk or Podcacher to promote it for you?

No they haven't. They could call up the GeoTalk hotline on 02 800 50 436 (or Skype call spindocbob) and record their own. Or they could send me a script and I'll record.

Better be quick, I'm putting it together and sending it out this weekend.

We thought it would be a little too much like an "ad", so we didn't.

If I get a moment tomorrow and can come up with something that doesn't make me sound like a complete dork, I'll give the line a call.

I'll try to finish with the line "you're listening to GeoTalk".
