5/5 Caches

Post by foxbat » 10 July 07 2:33 pm

I'm bored. I think I need a challenge! Any 5/5 caches near Adelaide? Any 5/5 caches anywhere in Oz? I tried to search for them on the web site but no luck, dosn't seem to be a search parameter for them.
Just for interest what would you consider to be 5/5 degree of difficulty?

Frequent Flier 5/5. 16,000kms of air travel. Possible to do in one day. :D

Beyond Ultraviolet 5/5. 2.5km of underground travel. Possible just now with a wet suit, but you will probably die if it rains.

http://geocaching.com.au/my/query/

Click on Create a New Query.

Fill in the blanks accordingly. Restrict it to South Australia in the state field.

Hit the save or new button (I forget which).

On the next page, click screen and ... tada!

PS. There are 5 of them available.

Try a few Derringer caches - you won't be disappointed!!

Above You only Sky

And

South point Rocks

are still awaiting first to finds - You won't find harder bushwalking in Australia

Unless you are on one of my 2 week Tassie off track adventures - but I don't place caches in World Heritage areas

Buckleys is just north of you. Will take more than a couple of days though but at least you won't die if it rains. You'll just freeze. :D

Oh, you only get two chances of finding it by the way.

just do a search for most zytheran caches, and there are also a couple by four-fun (just hanging) that rate well.

The terrain of adelaide lends itself to some great places for 5/5 caches. ufnortunatly this only encourages people like Z to keep finding new places :D
