How on earth do they make low sugar maple syrup?!?!?Bear_Left wrote:My regular breakfast is a couple of low-carb pancakes (made with powdered milk, baking powder, splenda, cinnamon, and an egg) with either a dollop of low-sugar maple syrup or a few sultanas.
Maple syrup for us too. The proper canadian stuff if we can afford it. With a dob of vanilla yogurt as well.
Lemon and sugar if we're desperate.

My recipe...
S/R Flour, icing sugar, couple of eggs and then milk to desired consistency. Cook gently with unslated french butter

The little Rats cannot start a Sunday morn without Dad making some pancakes:
2 eggs, big scoop of SR flour (never sure how much), teaspoon of sugar, drip of vanilla essence, enough milk to make it runny enough to pour properly.
The little Rats like the following toppings:
Vegemite, hazelnut spread, honey and cream, or Dad's favourite.
Mrs Rat is also into the Vegemite (weird woman!)
And Dad's favourite: melted butter and brown sugar.
