Sam's European Holiday!

Post by Cached » 29 June 07 12:57 am

Hey All,

Just incase anybody is interested, we leave for Europe this Saturday. 6 Weeks! No Kids (they get Tasmania, we get Europe)!

As a way of being able to keep in touch with the world, I have set up an itinerary page and will be using my blog to broadcast what's happening on our travels.

The itinerary is at : <a href="http://cached41.googlepages.com/Calenda ... /a>

My blog (Live Journal) is at http: ... al.com/ - and though it's full of nothing at the moment, it will grow to be quite a travellogue!

I'm taking about a dozen TB's, am just about ready to roll and am pretty excited. Only serious problem is that I CAN'T FIND MY ETREX!!! Seriously, I don't know where it is... I am worried sick that I might have to go without it (or that I'll be down to see Alex at Carto tomorrow)...

So, I'll be scarce for a while...

Happy travels, Sam!
I think you should go to cartographics - you know the only way to make your etrex turn up is to buy another one!

Sounds fantastic; have a great time! After reading the itinerary, it looks like you'll need a holiday when you get back though :D

Your itinerary looks fantastic - have a great trip. A few pics from European caches would be good, once the etrex turns up!

If you end up anywhere near the Team Peppers cache (GCX869) near Earls Court/West Brompton you could have a look for my Geocoin. Some thoughtful individual couldn't find the cache so just stashed my coin in a whole in the wall

The co-ords for the coin are
(N51.29.147, W000.11.402)
The description of where the coin is hidden is:
About 14 meters NE from the posted coordinates there is a set of stairs. The last gravestone on the right is tall and pillar shaped. It has a hollow base with an opening on the path side. The coin is in a glasses case well back in this opening.

Have a great trip!

Have a great time Sam, Cracker Girl visited most of these places in her 18 months overseas. She's jealous and says you will have a great time
Cheers

Have you checked the mount? gps's seem to vanish and reappear down there somehow :D

either that, or speak to hurtle, he has a etrex... might cost you a bit in extra luggage, and might not find you many caches, but it is a gen-u-wine extrex :D

I did a Leek cache in Chester, UK - how does that work?

All going well, some good caches. Dropping TB's off left right and centre.

Took photos of teapots for bronze.
