can you log a cache you have found without using a gps?
or is that just not done?
i dont mind going back to it to log it "correctly" if required when i get my gps this week sometime.
thanks

i did wonder if there was any way of verifying a log, like signing the log book or descibing the exact location but it looks like we just rely on honesty? the 2 that i have found i didnt write an entry in the log so i will go back and do that.

Go sans GPS
You would be better off with out a GPS. I have one, but it never seems to want to help me find caches.

Will you please supply a reference to the rule/guideline/policy/edict where this is specified?
As has been stated in more than one other thread, we log a FIND, not a "signed the log book".

http://www.geocaching.com/faq/What are the rules in Geocaching?
Geocaching is a relatively new phenomenon. Therefore, the rules are very simple:
1. Take something from the cache
2. Leave something in the cache
3. Write about it in the logbook
Where you place a cache is up to you.

Thanks for that - I wonder why it didn't get raised in the other threads. What are the rules in Geocaching?

Of course, if we REALLY follow these rules, TNLN is illegal.
