missing persons

Post by foxbat » 23 March 07 10:52 am

Did anyone watch the Missing Persons show on TV last night? They have been looking for a man sopposedly lost in the Blue Mountains. They have been finding some evidence of people, camp site, broken glasses etc. Right at the end as a promo for next wext week (they drag these things out) they showed one of the searchers lifting a rock and showing that some one had hidden something there. Sure looked like a GEOCACHE to me.
Now I am going to have to make sure I watch it next week now.

Great! I'll be watching :) Did you see the episode about a month ago where a guy went missing in the river near Albury? In his backpack found along the river bank they found maps of the local area, food in zip lock bags, some clothing I think? and a piece off a computer. They were saying how the piece of the computer made no sense combined with the other items in his bag. Not to me it didn't... it was screaming Geocacher! lol.... In the end he was just a computer technician apparently, but you never know... he could of actually have been a Geocacher! Are we missing anyone from GCA?

We are not missing Bronze though. ;) He could be lost and we'd never know.

Not the coming Thursday in NSW. Ch 9 has decided that we all need a dose of swimming.

Is that a clue for the June cache hunt ... Bronze goes missing, you need a partner to help hog-tie him when you find him at the GZ ..... wearing a toga. Man! What a theme :!:

Having done nearly all the caches in the Blue mountains, I cannot recall a cache that was hidden under a rock that you had to lift up, under the edges, yes, actually under, no. But I will keep thinking about it.

I have one hidden under a rock you don't have to lift up, but guess what?! :D
And it's a big rock too.

I believe it may have actually been the missing guys personal effects...at least thats what they indicated on the show...that he'd stashed his valuables under there.

Guess we'll have to wait and see!

I don't get lost for no one.

Just an intermittent lapse of spatially awareness.
