"Owned". It is a case of fat finger syndrome or too many fingers on keyboard error or the computer can't keep up with the speed of the person typing.
It is a speilink errotake.

The word is rarely pronouned... more often it is written. Common pronunciations include owned, pawned and poned.

Thanks mm
Looks like it's a matter of "choose your own pronunciation".

Bunya wrote:So how do you know whether they are saying "pwned" or "owned"?
(I shouldn't have started this, should I?)
Teenagers (general users of 'pwned' etc) generally don't listen to each other, so I don't think it matters
.
If you think pwned is confusing, try this:
1 60+ @ |23(0|2[), |}|_|+ +|-|3|| |=0|_|||[) 1+ X/@$||'+ @ |23(0|2[) @+ @||. 1 X/@$ |*X/||3[).
Translation: "I got a record, but then found it wasn't a record at all. i was pwned."

I planned to do a whole cache description in
1337...hmmmm might still do it....
The geekier nerds might get it a bit quicker than the 01|) |=4r7z0rz

That's quite funny, especially because of my own own:

Most consecutive days without a find: 183 (25 Feb 06 - 27 Aug 06)

Maybe I'll be able to have both records! (Unlikely... I bet someone else has that one).
183 is not good enough try
Most consecutive days without a find: 202 (16 Feb 04 - 5 Sep 04)
As for most consecutive days with a find I am poorly lacking at a measly 6 (6 Dec 05 - 11 Dec 05)

I am not sure if I am proud or something else
Most consecutive days without a find: 677 (9 Jan 05 - 17 Nov 06)
Hasn't everybody taken a year or two off.

That Urbandictionary is useful, someone told me something was "munted" the other day and I had no idea what it meant!
I'll have to look up 1337 now.
God I feel old!
