New Australian Record!

After our <a href="http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx ... 5ac9">find last night</a> we have now gone 26 consecutive days in a row finding a cache! Hooray! 

The previous records are: 

25 days - If (9 Aug 06 - 2 Sep 06) 
23 days - dak's Emu Mob (14 May 04 - 5 Jun 04) 
23 days - BackPAQer (4 Nov 06 - 26 Nov 06) 

(thanks Riblit for the info) 

This record got more and more difficult as time went by - first off we cleared out our local area so we had to venture further and further out each night. Plus we had a life to lead and full time jobs which made it trickier, plus we're not the best geocachers in the world!! (Last night we had 3 DNF's in a row.. arghghg!)
 
Will hopefully get to 30 days in a row and then take a nice long break!

I think you need a bigger benchmark to aim for:

Most consecutive days without a find: 96 (11 Jun 05 - 15 Sep 05)

Not having a "young folk" nearby to question I had a look in the Urban Dictionary: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=pwned.

Of the 102 possible definitions, would you please tell me which one applies here?

"Man, I rock at my job, but I still got a bad evaluation. I was pwned." would seem equivalent to "I got a record, but then found it wasn't a record at all. I was pwned."

I referred this one to our Random Numeral (ie the boy who formerly lived at our place but now just phones asking for money) and he advised something to the effect that all and none of the definitions would be relevant.

I didn't give him any money.

That's quite funny, especially because of my own own: 

Most consecutive days without a find: 183 (25 Feb 06 - 27 Aug 06) 

Maybe I'll be able to have both records! (Unlikely... I bet someone else has that one).

And now I just have to ask: How do you pronounce "pwned"?

Everyone I know that uses the word (I can't believe I know any!) says 'OWNED'; I believe that is the correct way.
