Missing geo coins

Post by ruzzelz » 10 January 07 5:01 pm

2 out 5 of my own geocoins have already gone AWOL  (PS: One now located)

I also know of another that went AWOL from one of my caches.

Any other comment?

Sure did. I have a photograph of the log of the person who appears to have taken the coin. They do not seem to log finds or of having taken the coin into the gc site :x I thought they could have been a muggle :?:

Scrolling through the membership list reveals a Kramer as a member, who surprisingly, lists Gladstone as their home. I dont think I have met them.

Try contacting them, sometime new people have problems with coin tracking numbers. A lot of coins have surpuflos numbrs in front of the actual tracking number which can cause headaches.

Goodluck.

Ahh Bundyrumandcoke you have met me :D I have refilled your printer cartridges before, been meaning to get up toward Rocky to keep this going on its way but the holidays and a lack of staff have been keeping me away from geocaching, I tend to only do it when the girlfriend has the time off with me, I will hopefully have this going on its way very soon. I have mailed russel as well.

What can be done about people not logging coins? I've only ever seen 1 (only reasonably new to this) and it's still showing on my profile that I left it in a cache but someone else took it the next day but they haven't logged it as taken (if that makes sense?) So it looks like it is still in "Leos Perch" but it's not there.

Should I PM the person who said they took it, or will the owner of the coin do that eventually?

You can let the owner know!

It's alright, seems to be fixed up now, probably had trouble with the numbers as I did. Thanks, I'll know what to do next time.
