I registered but never heard boo.
I had no idea of my application was successful and my location was not on the list, but I did get one. Maybe Gosford is not on any map or seasonal chart so I was whacked into Sydney LOL

From work knowledge, the main point of entry for mail into Oz from the US is Sydney. Secondary is Brissy and Melbourne. There is still a bit of a backlog from Xmas, and with last Friday being a staff holiday for Aust Post (thats why those that sat and waited patiently all day for the postie to turn up, and he/she didnt) will add to the delay. Obviously the further you are from the initial entry point of the main into Oz, the longer your wait. With luck, just about everyone should have theirs this coming week.
I have found the TB destined for Gladstone Australia (of which there are 4) has not yet started its travels.

G'day

I have posted a list of the WA bounds one at http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=6952. Two are on the move and both are in California. The one for Albany (home of WA first geocache and the Perth bound one).

Armidale, Australia Unite for Diabetes TB has been started on its way. Its in Illinois.

I hope that it has packed a jumper with it - the cold of Armidale is a memory of my school days that sticks with me!

My TB has hit Wagga Wagga ( & yes it was ON the list !!) and its mission is also to head to a town in Russia where the nearest cache is 16.8 km away ?????

I also looked up the one headed to Wagga and its owner is in USA.
I'll bet it gets here before mine gets to Krasnoye Selo !!!

cheers & happy New Year everybody.

I am waiting for mine to arrive  and have a simple/stupid question. Having not put out any TB before, is this a normal one? I understand that I don't own it, but do I attach something to it like normal ones?

Its up to you - it already has a little blue ring on it, but many others I have heard of are attaching something diabetes related to the bug as well - such as a piccy of a relly with diabetes etc.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation http://shop.jdrf.org.au/catalogue/ has some neat stuff for a few dollars that would be pretty cool to attach - and gives some $$ to them in the process.

The Kanonji, Japan travel bug arrived in my letterbox today.
Kanonji is on Shikoku, and the nearest cache is Fudounotaki Cauntr park
(GCQDQH).

I'm enjoying reading the logs for this cache - lots of lovely Engrish translations!

"I found it!
It was the very hard distance.
However,it matured refreshingly.
Thank you for Splendid time."

"I achieved FTF!
I tasted the powerful charm of geocaching.
I was able to enjoy a trip to cache discovery terribly.
Thank you for pleasant cache!"

Cache hasn't been found in almost a year though.... but there are a few others around. I'll release the bug soon.
