So does that mean only 1 person from each of those cities who requested it gets one?

I think these are the target cities for the TB to complete its mission, not where it starts.

I assume the one you get (if you have asked for one) is chosen at random.

I would summise that because these are the TB goal locations in Australia, then they also would be the starting place for TB owners here

Not sure about this - are there many geocachers in Sudan?

For example, this one has a target in Sudan, but is starting with a geocacher in Utah, USA.

Just do a search of Travel Bugs with keyword "diabetes" if you want to see some more.

From what has been posted in the geocaching.com forums that has not been the case. They are just posted out randomly to the requesting geocachers it seems.

Then the question would be- Is there anyone in Oz who asked for one of these bugs, whose home town doesnt appear on the list? I am curious as to how they created the list, as there are no really small or out of the way places listed. I would assume they garnered the list from their member database.

I haven't looked at the 20,000 names but I now from following the Geocaching.com forums that some destinations are in countries for example in Europe or Asia which have no caches with 100 miles.

Then begs the question at how can the TB achieve it's goal if their is no cache to log it into......would have thought that they would align their goals with cache locations :? ( i realise that TB's do not necessarily need to be in a cache to achieve it's goals :P )
