England to Australia travel bug race, who's interested ????

Post by Geodean » 01 February 04 10:08 pm

Hi all

Piggy and I where chatting the other week and we came up with the idea of a England to Australia travel bug race. I'm going back to the UK at the end of this month :( and would gladly take a box full back with me if anyones interested ??????? :)

We could do something similar to the netherlands bug race and have a web page up to track the movements.

Let me know

Oz Bug Race 2004

Post by Team Piggy » 03 February 04 11:40 am

Hi All.
Rules are being drafted as you read and will be posted shortly.
Please do not send bugs until you have notified us of your participation and read these rules.

If Geodean is overweight with luggage we may be required to transport the bugs via postal courier to the release point.

An entry fee of $5.00 per player may be required to compete in Oz Bug Race 2004. this will be confirmed after we recieved intended numbers.
Entry fee if required will be only used to cover postage costs, any remaining will be put towards prizes (CASH !!!)...

If your interested in participating please send your emailed intentions to : ozbugrace@teampiggy.com to let us know that you are entering.

Closing date for bugs is: 20/02/2004. Make sure you have them in the post by then, this allows 4 days extra for late comers to arrive.

A tracking page will be set up on the TeamPiggy.com site to track the little fella's travel.

Regards:
Team Piggy.

Oh yeah, I fly out on the 26th of feb :( so if i'm going to take them over i'll have to keep the weight down.

I'm the silly fool that took a bike on holiday that weighs 17kilo's and only had a 20kilo limit :? you would be correct in guessing i didn't get to bring many clothes with 3 kilo's left :) silly me

To make Deans trip interesting I nominate the following objects be made into travel bugs.

1/ Box Cutter
2/ Empty 7.62 Nato Round
3/ Plastic Putty like substance
4/ Nail file
5/ Box of Detonators
6/ Assorted tubes of Talc powder...
