An intersting show and a very convincing arguement about what actually killed the couple

More than just a convincing argument, it's clearly case closed.
I can't believe it took them this amount of time to figure it out, it seems so obvious. I guess it just goes to show how you can get stuck in a mind set and not see the gas for the trees so to speak!

I remember we found a black body size tarp right near GZ at this one, we weren't game enough to see what was under it!

I am still surprised by the longevity of this cache, considering how "exposed" it really is.. plus the fact that a certain cacher of a vegetable name literally stumbled over it in the dark still failing to find it.

I didn't see the show, but how did they explain the way their clothes & the cardboard was neatly laid on top of them?

There was agentleman (of high moral values) who use to train his greyhounds on the Lane Cove Golf Course early in the mornings. He apparently discovered the bodies and covered them, and then went home is a distressed state. However he didn't report the bodies to the police.

How did this come to light?

When he died, there was an obituary published in the greyhound trainers magazine of the time. In his obit, it was mentioned that he found the bodies of Bogle and Chandler. So obviously he told someone later on what he had done.

Can't think of the gentleman's name but when I googled bogle chandler last night I found some interesting websites. #5 on the hit parade however was the cache page of Two Dogs at gc.com...

Makes you wonder though.

"Ooh here's a couple of dead naked bodies. I'd better cover them up lest someone be offended by their nakedness. Then I'll go home and try and forget all about it."

Never mind that the dead naked bodies had families etc...

I always prefered the LSD poisioning theory. That stuff'll make you do weird things...

Good one GIN51E !!! :D

Perhaps if the cache is so exposed, I should have placed some carefully cut out cardboard over it. :)

I'm not buying the Poison River theory for one second though. I still like the LSD theory better. He was, after all, a scientist. If not LSD maybe he was experimenting with some similar "home grown" narcotic without realising the dangers of an O.D.

Having said that, does any one volunteer to sleep with the cache one night just to test the theory. :)

According to Mama Bear_Left, it wouldn't prove anything if I slept there overnight, as it'd be smelly regardless of what the river did... :?

It took me 2 visits to find the cache. The first visit was at night and I was just too freaked out to finish it off. Needless to say I completed it in broad daylight.
