Mix what was the final numbers on attendence for that?
25 Image logs

Just a pity that we have other plans for that weekend....
What! No Grey Headed Gooseberries?

it should be a good weekend anyway even if it is not a "mega event".

BTY - I sort of threw the Mildura idea out for comment earlier in the year but have let it slide since as I have been focused on the Scooby Event. With a few changes in our personal circumstances (and not really being all that close to Mildura) I canÂ’t see myself perusing it personally. If somebody else put up a Mega Event some time next year (anywhere around the VIC/ NSW border) IÂ’d be all for it.

Wagga sounds a bit more in the middle ground between melbourne and sydney. Easy for act as well, and possibly SA.

If there was going to be such a large number of people, perhaps consider holding it on a farm type property to minimise the 'destruction" of so many vehicles and feet. If you had the run of the property, you could also lay out a time trial course and local caches don't get trashed etc as much. plenty to do and see in Wagga.

The number of logs aren't particularly indicitave of the number of people that actually attend an event.

A family of 6 is still only one log.

I would estimate that there were about 70 people (children included) at the Dubbo goldrush last year.

Mix might know actual figures, I can't remember what information we provided at registration.

Roll on Scooby Doo - I am amazed that I can make the trek over two years running!!

if anyone is still keen on getting a big event going let me know
If we can plan it far enough in advance we could book out a caravan park with cabins etc.

So, if it were organised, we could not call it woodstock cause that means nuffin, what is distinctly australian that would make a good name?

Look for a scout jambouree site. There's one at Lostock in NSW (not Central for the sake of this thread) but you get the drift. Nothing for miles around and you get 30 acres of lawn or more, plus 2000 hectares of water conservation land and the barringtons to explore.

Promote that one Mix!!

I was thinking last night (keep that comment to yourself) a place like cataract scout park but closer to the border would be ideal, does anybody know of one?

I don't know where the initial sale for these was done or whether they are still available for direct sale.

There are usually some up for trade on the various US geocoin trading sites, for example here.

Or if you want to bid now one is currently up for salehere.
