I am Sam

Post by Pesky! » 12 May 06 9:29 am

As you may be able to tell this is my 2.5y.o girls favorite book at the moment, which lead to my plagarising in in my attempt to stay sane.
all it needs now are some suitable photos/ cartoons.
So please post any suitable geocaching photos from your own collections and we'll publish a final version.

Geocaching cans by Dr. Pesky Seuss

I am Sam

Sam I am

That Sam-I-am!
That Sam-I-am!
I do not like
that Sam-I-am!

can you find Geocaching cans?

I can not find them, Sam-I-am.
I can not find these caching cans.

can you find them here or there?

I could not find them here or there.
I could not find them anywhere.
I can not find these caching cans
I can not find them, Sam-I-am.

could you find them in a house?
Would you find them with a mouse?

I can not find them in a house.
I can not find them with a mouse.
I could not find them here or there.
I can not find them anywhere.
I can not find these caching cans
I can not find them, Sam-I-am.

could you find them in a box?
Would you find them with a fox?

Not in a box.
Not with a fox.
Not in a house.
Not with a mouse.
I would not find them here or there.
I would not find them anywhere.
I can not find these caching cans
I can not find them, Sam-I-am.

Would you? Could you?
In a car?
find them! find them!
Here they are.

I would not, could not, in a car.

You may find them.
You will see.
You may find them in a tree!

I would not, could not in a tree.
Not in a car! You let me be.
I can not find them in a box.
I can not find them with a fox.
I can not find them in a house.
I can not find them with a mouse.
I can not find them here or there.
I can not find them anywhere.
I can not find these caching cans
I can not find them, Sam-I-am.

A train! A train!
A train! A train!
Could you, would you, on a train?

Not on a train! Not in a tree!
Not in a car! Sam! Let me be!
I would not, could not, in a box.
I could not, would not, with a fox.
I will not find them with a mouse.
I will not find them in a house.
I will not find them here or there.
I will not find them anywhere.
I can not find these caching cans
I can not find them, Sam-I-am.

Say!
In the dark? Here in the dark!
Would you, could you, in the dark?

I would not, could not, in the dark.

Would you, could you, in the rain?

I would not, could not, in the rain.
Not in the dark. Not on a train.
Not in a car. Not in a tree.
I can not find them, Sam, you see.
Not in a house. Not in a box.
Not with a mouse. Not with a fox.
I will find them here or there.
I can not find them anywhere!

You can not find these caching cans?

I can not find them, Sam-I-am.

Could you, would you, with a goat?

I would not, could not, with a goat!

Would you, could you, on a boat?

I could not, would not, on a boat.
I will not, will not, with a goat.
I will not find them in the rain.
I will not find them on a train.
Not in the dark! Not in a tree!
Not in a car! You let me be!
I can not find them in a box.
I can not find them with a fox.
I will not eat them in a house.
I can not find them with a mouse.
I can not find them here or there.
I can not find them ANYWHERE!
I can not find these caching cans!
I can not find them, Sam-I-am.

You can not find them.
So you say.
Try to! Try to!
And you may.
Try to and you may, I say.

Sam!
If you will let me be, I will try to.
You will see.

<at which point in our story, the heretofore tormented hero cautiously
looks at the GPS, and maps, and cache listings>

Say!
I like these geocaching cans!
I do! I like them, Sam-I-am!
And I would find them in a boat.
And I would find them with a goat...
And I will find them in the rain.
And in the dark. And on a train.
And in a car. And in a tree.
They are so good, so good, you see!
So I will find them in a box.
And I will find them with a fox.
And I can find them in a house.
And I will will find them with a mouse.
And I can find them here and there.
Say! I can find them ANYWHERE!

I do so like
Geocaching cans!
Thank you!
Thank you,
Sam-I-am!

Oh now you've done it!.
Woe is me!
what could be wrong , what can it be?
what could be wrong with geocaching A,B and C?

Or perhaps a new conversion
of a story for diversion.

One about a sour old grump , oh!
how about this...

How the Grinch cached Dubbo!

Don't worry Shifter. I'm sure we can find a locked room for him somewhere at the Red Ochre Event

Thanks for the offer. It may be needed - especially if he tries to jump into all photos again. :P

Dr Seuss

Post by Waterwells » 07 May 07 6:34 pm

Our children, now 34, 33 and 31 years old, were all brought up with Dr Seuss. They loved their precious Dr Seuss books .. just as we did !! :D

Their 'Mr Men' books came a very close second .. (ie: Mr Grumpy, Mr Happy, Mr Sleepy, etc.) All very educational, but also a lot of fun for us too!!

Keep them coming Mr (Seuss) Pesky! Enjoying this thread immensely! :D

Hi Pesky
We have a nine year old girl now but when she was younger we bought a subscription to the Dr Seuss books and received them every week, we have tons of them.
I must have read every one who knows how many times to her and even tonight one of the books was brought out to help with home work.
There great
Andrew
