Some of you may have seen this one before - but I haven't so thought I would share.

Degree confluences

Post by Quasar » 11 November 03 9:59 pm

All the confluences in Victoria have already been got.

I got one of them...you have to be quick!

Of course you can still visit ones that have already been got but it's not the same!

It's great seeing the GPS zero out..

Have done one Primary in SA, 3 secondaries in SA, and a secondary in VIC.
Caches placed near a few of the SA ones and one in the Glenelg river area in VIC.
It kinda got pointless after the seconds set of 00000's.

:P

We have logged a couple up here in the Pilbara!! Now if you guys want a REAL challenge you should attempt these ones!! They really are in the middle of nowhere with virtually no tracks.

There used to be a cache at S34 E151 "#35 Dee Cee" GC37FB. Unfortunately it was the victom of the Sydney fire season. This confluence point was particularly easy to get to.

I think that the work done with the confluence project could become more important in the future, as there will be a photographic record of the world during a small period in time
