I do a lot of caching with Horus and more often than not, we stay silent after finding it (and keep 'searching') so that both of us can morally log a find.

This isn't adhered to 100% of the time, but more often than not.

If anyone ever said 'Huckle Buckle Beanstalk' to me, they would probably get a pine cone inserted into an orifice of my choosing

navicache.com wrote:So what is Geocaching ? Originally referred to as a GPS Stash Hunt, Geocaching in its original form was much like a high-tech version of the old children's game of "Huckle-Buckle-Beanstalk" where someone would hide an object and others would then try to find it.
I have never heard the term and navicache is the only place I had ever read it before this thread.
If it's in our wiki I think it should be purged!

If you are caching with others and you find it 1st the correct/fun/usual thing to do is...

cover the cache with your foot and look distracted
Image

wait for them to start looking else where
Image

sneak off with the cache and log it
Image

put it back
Image

sit back and watch them search
Image
:D
You can forget any Huckle-Buckle-BullS@#$

And just for those cachers out there who were concerned for The Ginger Loon's well being on the weekend, or for those who were looking forward for a new 5/5 cache, entitled " Ginger, I know no-one by that name And I have no idea where his body is"...

All is well, he never uttered the phase that is the subject of this thread, therefore I didn't have to carry out my threat of harm against his person.....thou he did threaten to strip down and go for a swim after we completed "Naval Treaty", that event also would have triggered the hiding of the forementioned cache.

Usually a "na na nana na" right in Hounddogs face is all I do. There have been the odd occasions that a "stand back and watch while trying not to smile" have almost worked. I am not very good at keeping a poker face.
I have been known to let out a banshee type noise and also a scream that would suggest I have been bitten by a snake. Just depends on the cache.

Huckle Buckle Beanstalk - What you call out when you are out finding caches with other teams, and you see and locate the cache before they do. It also confirms to Newbies that they are really out with loonies! This is an obscure way to say you found it!
Does anyone in Australia really say this???
Ginger, I am putting you on notice right here and right now, in front of all the geocachers who haunt the GCA forums.....

If you utter this phrase "Huckle Buckle Beanstalk" at all on Saturday, I will...

a) insert your GPS unit where the sun doesn't shine.....
b) beat you to a bloody pulp with a wet trainticket
c) and turn your corpse into a dive cache out in the middle of the harbour...

Do I make myself clear?

Way cool, is "Huckle Buckle Beanstalk" cache going to be a traditional or a multi? :)
And out of interest, what model GPS is it (for the FTF)?
Considering the cache will be starting out as a "bloodied pulp", do we need to be looking for a pelvis only or a few other bits and pieces as well?

(You know you've got to place this cache now... :D )

Evidently there is a kids game called "Huckle Buckle Beanstalk", you can find it on Google.Evidently some US cachers incorporate it into caching???
