coins
On the topic of coins, I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in..

I like the geocaching australia logo for the coin. It would be an awesome way to promote the site and geocaching in Australia. We didn't find out about the geocaching australia site for about a year or so after starting to cache, and we still now only use it for the forums. This would be a great way to show newbies to the sport that there is an Australian geocaching community out there.

It would be great to have a coin that could be tracked on both sites so that if they travelled overseas they could be logged and collected. I've seen heaps of coins that are tracked on GC.com but have references to their own group/state's geocaching website. Why do we have to be different?

If they were GCA only coins then what would the point of putting them in GC caches be? If you were going to make GCA only coins, make them wooden nickles, so people can keep them, log them on GCA if they want or use as a trade item.

Thats all from me anyway.
i like the map of Aussie but i would prefer the flag be more of a 2D style rather than a 3DTEAM LANDCRUISER wrote:
as for having each state outlined i think there is no need as for the reason in our anthem "We are one"
and you can't get more of an Australian Geocoin then that
what would be better is if i could release my first coin into the wild world of caches on Australia day
