G'day All,
<p>
I'd like to thank you all for your good wishes, thoughts, and prayers. I'm overwhelmed by your response.
<p>
One of the many things I like about geocaching is the people who participate. I have met a fair number of you in my travels, but often only by telephone or email. I've yet to 'meet' anyone I haven't liked.
<p>
I'm out of hospital now, after having a short section of bowel removed. I'll be doing some further tests in December, followed by six months of chemo therapy, and potentilly, another opertion in four months or so. The outlook is positive, and the doctor is talking 'cure', not 'containment'.
<p>
It's been 25 days since I've logged a cache, and I'm starting to get severe withdrawal pains! I'll be putting in an appearance at the Great Aussie Christmas BBQ on the weekend, but it will still be some time until I can log a real cache. I'm not allowed to drive for four weeks.
<p>
Again, thanks for the good wishes. Believe me, they are most appreciated.
<p>
Cheers,
<p>

Dear Dak, I couldn't think of anything to say that hasn't been said already but this quote best echoes my sentimentsHounddog wrote:Hey Dak
After reading your history and seeing the amount of caches you've found it's easy to see you've got the determination and persistence to overcome anything. I'm sure you'll have yourself back to top form in no time.
Cheers and good luck mate!
Best wishes
