Any rabid cricket fans here?

Post by GEK » 24 October 05 10:03 pm

I've just picked up a TB in the US and brought it back to our shores. Its stated goal is to visit as many major sporting stadiums as possible. I was wondering if anyone who was planning on attending a few cricket matches this summer might like to take the bug on a trip. I know it would please the owner.

Do the Adelaide and Melbourne Test matches count?

If it can be in Melbourne for the Boxing Day test it can be retrieved to go to the 1st 1-Day final to be held in Adelaide in the new year. Or conversely if it makes it to Adelaide before the test here it can be left in Melbourne after the test there!

Sounds like a good plan. I'm in Sydney but getting it to Melbourne shouldn't be too hard.

Hmmm GIN51E has thrown us a curly one there...

If we can get the bug to Adelaide before the Test here it can be in Melbourne for the Boxing Day Test too (tickets and accomodation booked) and then how it gets to Sydney for the 1 day game GIN51E is attending is anyone's guess.

Maybe it can go via Canberra as my brother-in-law is coming to Melbourne too and we are 'this-close' to getting him caching too. Although I wouldn't count on it.

Any other ideas?

I do a linehaul between Syd and Melb 3 nights a week.
I actually overnight in albury wih another driving to melb and straight back.

I can help with a mulgrave pick up point (with proviso's, the other driver is muggle) or a Albury pick too.

I could place it anywhere south of parra river within 12 hours of pick up.

I am going to a Sydney game as well on the 5th Feb 2006. If the bug can get to Albury or Wagga before then I could take it for a small trip.

LOL you can mail me the bug (via the diplomatic bag!) and I can get a photo of the bug at Teufaiva Stadium in Nuku'Alofa Tonga...perhaps when Tonga has their world cup qualifier against the Cook Islands in mid next year...

Mind you by then it's probably back in the US!!!

Give the TB to one of the players, it should see a lot of places then :)

The TB is going on a trip to the Olympic stadium at Homebush first. Then I'll pass it on to someone for a visit to the cricket.
