5 watts eirp
No probably not.
I can and I do

5 watts transmited from the radio not eirp.
erip limit is around the 21 watt mark.
(except on 21/22)

I comply (just) with the eirp on the truck and not at all at home, but at home i do comply with the 5 watt limit. (except when I wish to be heard over the foul mouthed rabble   )

Eff

Just returned from the trip Brisbane to Forster and return and used the UHF between the cars on Ch 15 both ways. Only had chatter on them once at a roadworks site with the Stop/Go guys. Had no problems with comms but then the cars never got too far apart.

I know I’m thick but can you tell me how the ‘repeaters’ operate? Is it an automatic system or do I need to do something to extend the coverage? And what cannels are they again?
“Please explain???Ââ€
