GPS advice Magellan eXplorist 500 or 600
time to upgrade...
I'm looking at the Magellan eXplorist 500 or 600.
unless there are others that will suit my needs as a cacher better!
I'm experienced in what I want for fishing... but not for caching.
if you have an opinion that might help me that would be cool.
the 500 and 600 have a "geocaching" section which might be usefull!
cheers
Vogoofish.

Voogoo, Drop in and see Alex @ cartographics on Unley Road.
He will be able to show you them in the flesh so to speak (The GPS not him).
Have a fiddle with them (The GPS) and see hwat you like before buying

Not when you have a REAL compass hanging around your neck!Lt. Sniper wrote:I have the Meridian Platinum and I love that GPS to bits....but, I would not trust the temp readout as its NEVER accurate. As for the barometric pressure readout, I never really used it. The electronic compass is essential for caching as far as im concerned!
