Pocket Queries - Not Running?
Pocket Queries - Not Running?
Hi All...
Has anyone else had problems with pocket queries not running?
I have 3 queries that are suppose to run daily but they haven't ran in the last 4 days (even accounting for the server being a day behind!)
Not happy!

In one of the gc forums the keeper of the PQs said there were too many to run in the 24 hour period on some days - those that don't run are simply ignored.Blaze_au wrote:Hi All...

Hmm.. the pq's are the only reason they have my money... Do you know if there is going to be any resolution to this??? I only have 1 PQ a day, but I'm only getting about 1 a week at the moment, unless I generate a one off.riblit wrote:In one of the gc forums the keeper of the PQs said there were too many to run in the 24 hour period on some days - those that don't run are simply ignored.

Yes. The PQ I got today indicates same. This is most likely being discussed in the GC.com forums. You might get more informed over there.CraigRat wrote:Hmm.. the pq's are the only reason they have my money... Do you know if there is going to be any resolution to this??? If you read the text of the query when it is sent, you will see this notice.
"Please note: Due to the recent issues with the Pocket Query Generator, you will need to click on the link at the end of this email to re-run this query a week from today. This is a temporary solution until we can speed up the Generator. Sorry for the inconvenience."
At the end it had a link:
"Run Pocket Query next week:
http://www.geocaching.com/pocket/?pq=6e ... &opt=1&d=4"
You will need to do this on each of your own queries as they arrive.

which is really wonderful if one uses the GSAK auto load and delete queries.muzza wrote:If you read the text of the query when it is sent, you will see this notice.

Yeah... that's the new screwed system.
Once a PQ runs it is turned off.. if you look at the PQ you receive you see you have to click on the PQ to get it to run the following week.
So much for the 5 PQ's you are allowed to run each day.
I use GSAK, running auto so I never see these messages.
I will not be paying GC again once my subscription runs out.

And that makes it all gc.com fault? They are not responsible for the tools you choose to use. They are providing the PQ as per the Premium membership service. It just requires some manual actions on your part for a period whislt they try to resolve the problem.Blaze_au wrote:So much for the 5 PQ's you are allowed to run each day.[/qoute]
Who said you can't do this? They are experiencing problems, they are working on it as I understand it ... I think we need to be resonable here.

If you let your premium membership expire it suggests the PQs are not of value anyway, which then begs the question, why such a fuss about it all?
Cheers
