Ray's Outdoors Group Rewards Scheme

Post by embi » 27 July 05 9:46 pm

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in this.

J and I are members of Rays Outdoors Priviledge Club...Basically discounts and member days where you get 30% off etc etc etc.

Anyway today we recieved a VIP sale newsletter with the upcoming sale which we'll take advantage of and buy a Tent. 30% off Tents :)

They also have a Group Rewards Scheme.

Basically.

VIP benifits to each of your club members including discounts, special events and exclusive offers,

Rebate to your club on purchases made by your members

Opprtunity to hold your club meetings @ Rays with extra discount and rebate benefits

Special Rates on Bulk club purchases.

Would we benifit from something like this??

Rebate going to i! maybe for this site???

Comments yah or nah....just putting this to you all for debate

Apart from the fact that Rays are only in Melb, Syd and Ade, there seems to be little or no downside and potentially an upside.

I know i! keep telling us they're happy to continue spending their pirate treasure* on the site, but a small trickle of returning funds wouldn't be a _bad_ thing regardless!

* I know that this isn't really the source of their immense fortune, but it's a lot more romantic!

Sounds worthwhile depending on what's involved in joining the scheme. I buy outdoors things very infrequently so if it was an annual fee or annual subscription it would be less attractive.

Any fee involved for the discount?

There is no fee at all. I just got off the phone to the guy who organises it and they also give stuff to clubs for raffles etc. He is sending me out the details and I will post more when I get them.

The answer is Yes and NO. Rays offer special discounts to Clubs and if we form a club we will get special discounts on selected items (usually clothing, except yakka and king gee, and excludes engel and waeco fridges). most VIP days are the best time to buy and today I went to fountain gate as it was 27.5% off. I have set up club discounts for a few 4wd clubs and companies. Embi if you want to set something up let me know and I will assist. Ian (ex Rays Fountain Gate, Dandenong ).
