Australian City Navigator V4.0 versus current Metro Guide

Post by moocowmedia » 13 June 05 7:15 pm

I have a friend that has given me his Garmin Unit, it is loaded with Australian City Navigator V4.0....Is there a difference between this and the current version of Metro Guide?...
Not sure if i should buy Metro Guide for the Map60c, or access the Australian City Navigator V4.0 for the Map60c. I think i can download the codes for a second unit if you own one, which i now do.

MetroGuide Australia v4 has a lot more rural coverage than City Navigator Australia v4 (or v5)....City Navigator v6 has just been released and has a similar level of rural coverage to MGA v4 but with corrections, additional POI, updated waterways and auto-routing....MGA v4 will cost you about $175....To upgrade to City Navigator Australia v6 will cost about $170....Only issue is that while MGA v4 is 48 MB for all of Australia, CNA v6 is 132 MB

Metro guide doesn't give you auto routing - I got MGA for the country coverage - now i wouldn't CN if it has the country coverage... cos auto routing is yummie:)
