New Write Anywhere Pen
Hi
Saw an ad in the latest issue of Outdoor Australia for Uniball's new write anywhere pen. Some details at http://www.uniball.com.au/uni_powertank.htm and http://www.uniball.com.au/Powertank/PenRequest.aspx.
Looks intersting for caches etc as it is claimed it can write in the rain and on wet paper.
Regards
Andrew

Came across these at a stationery trade show a couple of weeks ago, I ordered a display for stock. I've tried them, they write on a wet surface, but as yet I havn't tried them underwater (Uniball claim that divers can use them) They are also suppossed to write in below zero temperatures. They write and dry instantly on plastic surfaces and will also write upside down without the ink flow stopping. I've handed a few out to customers to test for me and hopefully should get some feedback soon.

I've had one of these in my caching backpack and jacket pocket for a few months, and they're great. As long as you're careful not to press too hard and tear the paper, they'll write on quite sodden pages.
I also haven't tried them underwater yet, as I rarely feel the need to write notes while in the pool!

Oooh, this might be just what I need for those "Aha!" moments, which invariably occur whilst one's mind is wandering when showering.

Well most caches here in QLD are a little water logged, nothing waterproof, so pens like this may make things a little easier for some cachers.
Obviously you donÂ’t have that problem in NSW, things are a little dry down there..

yes we do, with caches in the Sydney Basin, it's just a pity that the caches in the catchment area/watershed region are not damp.Lt. Sniper wrote:Well most caches here in QLD are a little water logged, nothing waterproof, so pens like this may make things a little easier for some cachers.
