Another question about sharp items...

For all your general chit chat, caching or not.

Would appear that Ulverstone is fast becoming the caching hub of Tasmania!

Hmmm. . .sounds like you're on the right track, however Snuva would like to point out you haven't yet put out vouchers for the keys to the Ashgrove, Mersey valley, or Lactos cheese factories. It is very important that new cachers in Tasmanian do this. And schmacko factory - and liver treats. Umm. . oh yeah - WELCOME TO CACHING IN TASSIE!!!
As for thw swaps issue, although it may not work in other states, in Tassie we can let good sense prevail! :D

I do think as a nation we are beginning to wrap children in too much cotton wool... They aren't THAT fragile - I myself remember bouncing lots of times :D Safety and security I agree with totally - but gravity and reality teach well remembered lessons!

Anyway at this stage I am pretty much convinced that I will operate on a voucher system (with the finer details of delivery to be thought of!) - that way the local Terrorist Possums and Wobalies won't get any weapons from me! I guess I should have done a lot more research into things before buying aheap of cool knives for swaps, as I now have to supply all of my planned caches with fresh oranges as well :D
Sorry, food in caches is against the rules too!

So that would be vouchers for oranges then....

But if it's a voucher, then you still can't carry a knife, unless the knife is actually a voucher for a knife to go with your voucher for an orange.
See how complicated this gets ?

IÂ’m confused, are we talking about apples or oranges?

The only sharp object I have left in a cache is a bit of wit.

Had a really brainy idea to solve all of the above problems... I shall just leave a voucher for the cache instead!! :D That way I can hand over the vouchers for the oranges AND pocket knives at the same time!

However I am now thinking that vouchers can't be used either... just think of the paper-cut risk!!! Thats without taking into account the fact it would also act as 'fuel' for the spontaneously combusting local wildlife!

This setting up a cache thing is very tricky!!!

Thanks for the greeting Snuva and CraigRat, I am sure I will bump into you both at some stage (orange voucher collection?) - but I shall have to work on the cheese factory keys... as the cow costume no longer works!

Of course you will then be stuck with a pretty useless Garmin 60CS, but I'm sure I can help you out

Sheeez Horus, you don't miss a trick, do you?? Maybe we should organise a 'trade table' at 'The ANZAC event'??

Ooooops, getting off topic here! Sorry .. ummm .. maybe a trade table that also includes 'supposedly dangerous geo-swaps?' .. :P

Okay, we're now back on topic!! ..

(btw .. welcome to geo-caching Hamster-man! Hope to meet up with you at the 'ficticious Tassie trade table' on Anzac Day?? .. )

Sounds like we need lots of events to trade in these vouchers.... merge this with the AO thread and we can start vouchers for dirty magazines and alcohol....
