Can someone give me a heads-up on where I can find out inof on rule changes, procedures etc for cache placements/types etc? I only found out by accident recently about ban on travelling/moveable caches. Is there a thread or post somewhere that explains the reasoning for this and/or other rule changes? Appreciate any info.

Banned - "Caches under public structures deemed targets for terrorist attacks"

What-the???
*shaking head*

I'm not looking forward to the day when:
- someone gets a paper cut from a logbook, gets a smart ass lawyer and sues GC.com
- Ziplock bags will be banned because they are a suffication hazard
- Caches will have to be specially approved "anti-tamper" types and must only be set and resealed by an approved geocacher.
- New cachers will have to undergo screening tests from the federal police before being issued with a caching permit.
- All cachers will have to sign a statutory declaration for every new cache stating that it does not contain items that can be used in nuclear weapons, or the manufacture or processing of nuclear fuel rods or components. (don't laugh, I have to do this already just to buy a few electronic components!)

Only in America of course...

Live it up while we can folks... 8)

Grrr ... must ... resist ... temptation ... to ... rant ...

Instead, I will quote the wisdom that is The Simpsons ...
"Now, everyone take out your safety pencil and a circle of paper"

I wonder if Groundspeak HQ is now deemed a terrorist target due the pending uprisal of pissed off cachers (aka Al Qaecher).

Some extra      's so the feds don't blacklist me, the vitriol is weak :)
