Where would you get the calibration file from?

I have been trying to cal the map, with not much success... just using features from the map and matching them against a map on my wall for lat and long... I used 5 waypoints.... got fairly close, but most of the caches near the coast appeared to be about 50klms or more off shore to the east:( :( I am going to try cutting back to two cal points and see what happens

I am relived to ‘see’ you Rib. With all the daily GC.AU ‘NSW cache updates’ having 'no new caches'. Coupled with not reading from you in the forums I was worried you had disappeared. Surely this does not mean that no one has hidden any caches. If so I better go hide one.

They are awaiting for someone to check them.

Its low average elevation (300 meters, or less than 1000 feet) is caused by its position near the center of a tectonic plate, where there are no volcanic or other geologic forces of the type that raise the topography of other continents. In fact, Australia is the only continent without any current volcanic activity at all—the last eruption took place 1,400 years ago at Mt. Gambier.
Woohoo! :)

I have been battling a migrane for the last 3 days and haven't been near the computer except for must do work related things, and then only in short periods as too much thinking was causing my brain to explode.

Apologies to all waiting for caches to be released. I have just finished the list. All that could go have now left the safety of the review queue and are in the wild.

Sorry to hear that you were unwell.

I see now there is a new cache in my area so I must dash.

Three cheers for riblit

For those people who are looking for a calibration file (read: Oziexplorer .map file) there was a posting on the Ozieplorer group with the file (see http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OziUsers-L/message/22195). Here it is:

Have not checked it yet  though you may have to change your file extensions (3rd line to PIA06665_lrg.jpg etc) Note the datum for this calibration file is NAD83.
