Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................
You have a team visiting from interstate and the weather looks threatening but you head out anyway. The weather deteriorates to intermittent downpours.
Wet boots, wet …..!
At one stage a statement is made and it is rationalised by my wife saying "Well, we are just normal people"
Hmm, out in the bush finding plastic lunch boxes in the pouring rain rather than .......!
I think she is finally infected with my addiction

You first have to upload your image to a hosting site like Fliker or PhotobucketGJMMelb wrote:yeh but where do I get the url from??lemmykc wrote:@GJMMelb

I had already seen the "Img" thingy above and figured I had to put something in between and so looked at the photo on my PC and it just says Windows Live Photo Gallery with no url thingy lol

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................
A couple of new ones emerged at a FTF event tonight....
a) .... when you're on the way home from hospital with wife and new baby and you convince her to stop just for a minute while you look in the bushes over there ....
b) .... when you're standing around talking after a FTF with other cachers, when you realise you left the kids at home alone and you need to rush to get there before your wife comes home ....

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................
Not to put a dampener on it but I have thought about doing that many a time but the very thought of something happening to me while out and never returning to the kids while they're at home, alone and no-one else knows strikes me with sheer terror and I dare not. Even for FTF.gmj3191 wrote: b) .... when you're standing around talking after a FTF with other cachers, when you realise you left the kids at home alone and you need to rush to get there before your wife comes home ....
I HAVE however taxied it to a nearby FTF with the kids in the spitting rain while they were slightly unwell but in my defence, I would not have gotten the FTF had I not taken them because I needed to hoist the eldest child up the full length of my reach for him to detach it from the hiding place for me.
Another addition to theis thread....
While I was cycling back from a FTF the other night, a thought occored to me. You know you're a geocacher when you catch yourself passing street signs and making up pun laden cache titles to suit a hide on that street - Warn Lane: I warned you, Angely Street: Strangley Angely, Deary me....

I thought I had this hobby under control, but I knew I was in trouble when I left work early due to illness, but still stopped on the way home to deploy a new cache.......

... you're on a road trip and you stay at a flea bag motel.
You decide to have cereal for breakfast but you forgot to bring a bowl.
You look in the local shop and you're about to grab a plastic bowl
when you realise a sistema will work just as well, and has later possibilities .....

....You are standing out in the pouring rain waiting for a waypoint to average because you forgot about your froggies
.....As soon as you hear that you are going to the USA in 2 weeks as a christmas present, the first thing you do is check for the close caches
