You drive 1000km in 2 days to log a DNF on an unfound cache, then 2 weeks later, travel 1000km in the other direction, to log another DNF on another unfound cache.

Ya get that.

You get excited that the 1st of December is a Saturday, and you can spend the day chasing as many new movable caches as you can....

Until 2 weeks later, you realized that you have a friends wedding on that day (that you RSVP'd to ages ago)

DOH!

Hmmmm ... I noticed on the 29th of November you were looking off colour, and a bit worse on 30th. It looks contagious too, you might have to make a sacrifice and miss the wedding.
It's for the best really.

I plan on finding and hiding as many as possible before the ceremony. Heck, given the opportunity, I'll hide one there, and wait for a DNF of "There was a wedding in the process..."

Race caches should be ready and placed before 00:00:00am 1/12/12 when they will be automatically published (if you've logged them as hidden on the 1st) so hiding them before the wedding is not a problem (indeed necessary) - days before if you like. The hard part will be finding them before a certain cacher or two pick them all up from 00:00:01 whilst you're still in bed... ](*,) You might as well go to the wedding and wait for them to be placed again...

Whenever the radio DJ introduces the song by "maccamore" you can't help but think of certain geocachers...

You're on the Gold Coast and the hear the DJ on the radio announce something about GC fm! And think the Geotalk podcast has gone to a fulltime radio broadcast. :(

You go to IKEA to see how many pencils fit in your pocket...

(28 before I kept on getting stabbed by one!)
