THE Australian Defence Force is nearing the end of a $127 million project to equip its fighting forces with a wide range of GPS equipment.

GPS, or global positioning system, uses satellites to provide accurate positional information on the ground. First developed for the US Military, GPS has since gone into widespread civilian use, particularly in the airline industry and with emergency services. The US Military maintains ownership of the 27 GPS satellites.

Ok so now you all know what I use a C130H for, to find all the virgin caches.

Just that they are a bit too big to hide when I am going urban caching

Obviously the Australian armed forces must need better precision than that
