thanks to 'hiders' of locationless caches
I would just like to give a big thanks to those cachers that hide locationless caches.
I don't have a car and public transport in my area outside of work hours is not the best, so unless I am out somewhere easy to get to I find it harder to go out caching further away from my place.
But I recently started looking at the locationless caches and I have been having a lot of fun with them - not only going for long walks and exploring parts of my suburb I have never been, but I am finding the requirements needed to find one can be a bit more challenging than a box hidden under an obvious pile of sticks.
So thanks to those that have taken the time to 'hide' a locationless cache
On a side note - has anyone ever logged a locationless as DNF?

Re: thanks to 'hiders' of locationless caches
I logged a DNF on the NSW State Survey Markers locationless.
Found one of the blue metal signs the LPI use to indicate an SSM is nearby on top of the Bullio Tunnel on Wombeyan Caves Rd. Had a good look for the actual SSM but could not find it. So I logged a DNF.
Cheers,
Michael.

This one seems to have a lot of DNF's (including my own) although it seems some of the recent finders didn't actually read the cache description.

DNFs for Locationless Geocaches (Survey Markers)
Because Locationless caches are non-specific, I've never posted a DNF for one. That said, the various numbered State Survey Markers are very individual indeed, although they can only be logged as Locationless caches.the Monkey King wrote: On a side note - has anyone ever logged a locationless as DNF?
I've logged a great many markers of all kinds, and would say that as much as 20% of the time can't find NSW markers that are listed on the old government maps or marked by yellow spots. I guess it would be quite in order to DNF them, to alert others that something might or might not be on that spot.

Re: thanks to 'hiders' of locationless caches
I've DNF'ed a few of the SA State Survey Markers: one because I just can't find the marker plate, though it should be there, it's covered with dirt and twigs somewhere within 1 m of the marker post, and one or two more that were home to extremely large ant nests full of extremely large ants. I'm not that keen to find a survey marker, despite my record suggesting otherwise.

You could also do Waymarks, a Groundspeak form of locationless caches.

Thanks for the heads up - there is only one near me, which I will try to 'find' some time soon.Tuena wrote:You could also do Waymarks, a Groundspeak form of locationless caches.
