Welcome to the......sport? activity? hobby? addiction? yeah addiction sounds about right 
You are certainly in a state ripe with caches to find, take it slow at first, don't hide too many caches until you get a feeling for how the better caches are placed. If you are using a phone app, that will be fine for now, if you get hooked, a dedicated GPSr should be on your wish list. Above all have fun and cache as you see fit. Have fun!
