Help a couple of newbies out? (Toowoomba QLD)

Post by addicted_to_coffee » 04 September 13 11:59 am

Hello to all!
My friend and I were recently introduced to Geocaching, and so far, we're addicted, if only because we're stubborn.
Together we've tried searching for 2 Caches (and didn't find either), and on my own I've looked for 4 - only found 1 :(

Now I don't know whether that is just because we are completely horrible at finding them (most likely) or because they've been moved/taken by muggles.

We were hoping, that some kind Toowoomba based cacher could help us out. Either by going to the locations we've been to and telling us if they are there or not ... Or preferably by letting us tag along on a couple of searches so that we can see how it's done, what they look like, where we should be looking etc.

Please please please please? :D :P

email sent. I can not find this user on GC.com as a registered cacher. I see it is actually jenna_monique.

my account on gc.com is jennamonique ... the other one was made from my facebook page, not realising it wouldn't let me pick my username

Jenna, you might want to try looking for larger cache containers for starters instead of micros, they are 'usually' easier to find as you gain experience. Keep an eye out for any meet n greets, events in you're area as well, these are great places to ask questions and get answers fast.

Hi Clatmandu - thank you for the reply. I have been trying to look for them, but have been struggling still none the less.
We've been trying to only do the 1 or 1.5 star finds.

Old Fella - yes, I'm sorry I did get them, but I got bombarded with call in shifts with work all this week, so I did not have the opportunity to contact you. Thank you for the offer, sorry.
