What do people think of the recent email from GC.com?

My email preferences: I do not want to receive fun and helpful emails from Geocaching.com.

I just glanced at it, and ignored it. The only thing I look at on their emails is upcoming events to see if there is anything I might want to attend.

I haven't looked too closely at these things, but it looks like you get a landing page and a bit of leeway on the commercial guideline. Otherwise, it's basically a bookmark list of caches in an area, be it a council or tourist spot or whatever.

Monetising something that was sort of going on anyway, but taking some of the customisation onto the site instead of the geotour operator's site.

Gee, that's a new idea. Go on a holiday and cache while I'm there. Who'd have thought? Might try that next time I'm away. =D>

Ive always wanted to tour giude to take me exactly to GZ and show me exactly where the box is so I can sign the log without all this 'planning', 'searching' and 'finding' nonsense that is ruining our game!

I went on a self conducted GeoTour on Friday. After finding Sir Don by J & J.au I then visited the museum & Hall of Fame named in Bradman's honour. Well worth the entrance fee.
