Oldest unfound cache ... was it found?

Post by The Spindoctors » 10 June 13 11:48 am

The oldest unfound cache was the target of a trip by a group of geocachers in Canada this weekend. There is a commentary on Sensible Shoes blog at http://geocachinglibrarian.com/now-that ... hing-trip/

One of the cool aspects of this was that they had a Spot Messenger so you could follow their progress. They just uploaded a video which I downloaded and watched.

Did they find it?
Whew, after three attempts to upload this vid.... Here it is!

http://wikisend.com/download/379730/trim.LOh4MT.MOV

It is a short clip. More to come of the adventure! I plan to write a full report!

Thank you to everyone for your support, encouragement and interest! Wish I could have had all of you with us!

Well - not really that excited at all! Wouldn't you be doing somersaults? Those mozzies looked like the ones in Loch Sport near Sale - big but they don't seem to bite. Loved the mozzie suit - or is that a beekeepers suit?

BTW - According to Sensible Shoes, the oldest unfound Australian geocache is http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga0489 (2 July 2006)

The oldest unfound geocache on the secondary site is http://coord.info/GC169F5 (15 August 2007). This one may take some getting to.

pprass - I think the video was taken well after they found it. That or Ontario geocachers are laid-back.
