I'm New to Geocaching

Post by Loey5150 » 27 January 13 12:24 am

Hi there,
I'm a newby. I would like to know how to get started. :(
I learned about it from some friends.
I've read how to find the geocaches, but not sure on exactly what to do first ](*,)
How do I label what I want to put into my cache ?
I am travelling this year & I would like to take part in the overseas geocaching too.
I would appreciate some help please as I am bookcrosser & postcrosser.

Many thanks

Hello Loey5150,
Here's a couple of links from this site that might get you started:

Guru's: Find a cacher local to you to give you a hand. http://geocaching.com.au/search/gurus/

Wiki: Some guides that answered some of the common questions. http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Main_Page

Keep an eye out for any local events. There a great place to meet fellow cachers, ask questions and maybe get a few hints for those tricker hides.

Don't hesitate to come back here either.

Good luck. :gnome

Hi Loey5150 - welcome to geocaching. You will find quite a few caching teams that live near Springwood hang out on the Geocaching Brisbane facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/gro ... 436932974/ We know of a few teams out that way who are really friendly and would likely be more than happy to help out.
