Your geocaching goals 2013

There's usually a thread for this each year so why not start another?

* hit 100 multis (currently 91 - am surprised I haven't done that yet - shame on me!)
* hit 50 FTFs (currently 48 - not too big a stretch I hope!)
* find a lot more Earth caches - I never really got them before but have found a couple recently and am enjoying them
* place an Earth cache (will be in a National Park so there's the hoops to jump through yet)
* fill as many gaps as I can in the Jasmer Challenge - can't get June-September 2000 within Australia though.
* finally get a find for every day of the year! I should have reached that on Xmas day but I accidentally missed a day this year (29 July) so there's a bit of a wait for that one.
* place all the 'gunnadoo' caches I've been telling people about for a long time
* archive the ones that have had their day
* complete a 100 day GC streak!! (for the challenge cache)

Not too concerned about the numbers these days.

So what have you got on your lists?

1) find the 54 caches in my 20km radius. Most are long or very long walks so a coupe a day is about the limit
2) hide a earth cache
3) place three new caches that I have constructed
4) fill in the remaining 40 days or so on my calendar.

3) Take a day off.
4) Cache like a normal person.

1. Find some caches in interesting spots. That's it really :D

1a. I'd rather like to visit a lot more Blue Mountains caches as there are a lot there that involve a nice walk and/or great views.
1b. And I'm also keen to do the NSW State Challenge that involves the 10 regions of NSW as I'm planning to go to Broken Hill in June
1c. Oh yes, and it would be nice if I could also get the Old School Challenge which needs 10 of the oldest NSW caches

2. Make sure I don't start anything that could lead to a streak that I then feel I have to continue!

I was going to try to complete my calendar in 2013, I only have 66 days to go. But I've decided over the past week that I have some priorities in my life that are more important than caching (please, don't kick me off the site for heresy :D ), so if I miss some days this year, I'm not going to fret about it. And if I do miss some days, it is more likely to be in January & February, as I have 31 empty days over those 2 months.

So my only goals are to:

1. clear a 5km radius finally (that involves doing my nearest cache to home, an earthcache that brings back bad memories of Geology 1 at uni everytime I look at it)

2. place all of the caches I currently have half planned & sitting in draft mode.

Yes I think streaks are like banging one's head against a wall! I'm sure it will feel great when I stop.

Another goal is to find "Happily Ever After" which will be my closest unfound (once I clean up the latest batch within 10km)

Happily Ever After

Simply, to enjoy my geocaching experiences! I also want to complete the two Earthcaches at Uluru which I hope to do later in the year.

* Get to attend another Event to move from Bronze to Silver BadgeGen level
* Get another webcam to move from Bronze to Silver BadgeGen level
* Get another 7 traditionals to move from Bronze to Silver BadgeGen level
* Get to 2000 GC+GCA caches (possibly 2000 GC caches too but after the 366 + 404 consecutive days in 2012 I'm taking it easy this year!)
* Get off my @r$3 and finish off at least one of the EarthCaches I'd planned on publishing....
* Get cracking and try to complete the caches-by-placed-date 366 calendar

My two goals for the year after I grab #3000 this month are:

- Complete my calendar (only 65 days left in the year, the last of which being Christmas 2013)
- Complete my D/T graph (currently sitting at 78/81, so three left to go)

I've felt myself moving away from the numbers a little recently (as my stats indicate) but I'm sure I'll find #3500 this year too (already got the cache picked out for that one (call me obsessed)) and likely #4000 anyways.

Of course this is on top of the always, always, having a truckload of fun!
