Geocaching Australia

So I'm after a nice compact pen that I can carry around with me for when I run into nanos, very smalls, or general unplanned caches.

Does anyone have any suggestions? A pen version of those flat carpenters pencils would be nifty, or perhaps a small stylus sized pen as these could slip into a wallet.
I guess the alternative is some kind of name-sticker, but I can't date those (i.e. put a date with them) without a pen anyway, so a pen would be preferred.

Not exactly compact as I tend to carry a few different types of pens for wet paper, waterproof paper and hot and cold but this one I use specifically for nanos, it has a TINY point that I can write my WHOLE name on the log sheet with and still have room to spare!!

I recently got a Fisher Space pen which is small and great for writing on wet logs but it has quite a fat nib so makes it hard for nanos. I carry a couple of fine point pens in the car that are better for these.

I need a pen which will stay in my car, and not keep migrating into the house via my shirt pocket.
Maybe a 100m shot cord?

Im going to get some of these for caches I intend on placing, may fit the bill for you, just make sure you dont mistake them for capsules!!

Yes, the swisscard is removed as part of my pre-travelling preparations, I carry a swiss army knife in my checked luggage so at destination I'm fully armed.
I did have a flight from Sydney to Melbourne with a bare laptop after forgetting to transfer my knife from backpack to luggage once, had to add the backpack to checked in luggage after a short but very serious discussion with airport security at the xray
I do believe that the swisscard does not trigger the walk through metal detector so you could carry one of board but I wouldn't advise trying it on, might result in a significant delay in your travel plans if found

I have one of these on my car keys. I think from memory they are about $4.95. The pen itself measures approx 8.5cm and overall including the clip, mine measures 11cm. They are actually a little longer, but I removed some links coz for me, they were just creating extra unnecessary length. They don't have lids, they are just the basic twist barrel type.

We must have had the same bon-bon's. My brother got a mini biro in his too and he proudly held it up saying what a handy size it was. Mr 2max and I just looked at eachother and smiled.

Me too. My non-geocaching brother got a pen, and my father got a mini-address book. (which would both fit awesomely in a cache, just saying) We both looked at each other and snickered.

Anyway, thankyou for the tip off about smiggle. I used to have an obsession with that place (err yup i dont have a stationery obsession..) so..thanks

I found a packet of mini pens, textas and pencils at kmart for like 2 dollars. I leave them as swaps usually.
