Have been having fun for the last month here in SA. Have the Geocache.com app on iPhone and a premium membership now. Almost 50 finds, but confused how to get the finds over to this site. Are they linked? We have the same geo name. TIA

Spidermoney9 != spidermonkey9
Geocaching Australia is case sensitive.
http://geocaching.com.au/my/settings/
Align your cachername in a case sensitive fashion and all should be well.

Your GC name is spidermonkey9 but you are here as Spidermonkey9
We catch your logs, but as they come through with spidermonkey9 (note the lowercase s), they don't come up against your name which has a capitalised S
http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/spidermonkey9/finds
If you align your cacher name to your GC name (via the settings page), then your finds will show up correctly against your account.
As one of the site administrators (and programmers), trust me when I say what I say.

<foolish question>
So why is it set as case sensitive? Are there actually cachers with the same names out there, just with capitals in different places?

We have our database set to use utf8_bin which is case sensitive.
I'm not exactly 100% certain why, historically.
What we do have though is when people construct a URL (e.g. http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/caughtatwork) we use the last part of the string to determine the cacher name. We then display that straight to the screen. We would end up with whatever was entered even something like cAuGHtatWork displayed as your cacher name. It's just a bit ugly.
We really should move to a point where we take the data, see if you're on the database, then display your cacher name as it came back from the database. We just haven't got around to finding all of those places, so we've kept the status quo. i.e. Laziness.
