Collective noun for a group of cachers

Post by rinsemesocks » 10 April 12 12:14 pm

After attending the OzMega in Albury and meeting lots of interstate cachers (but very few NSW cachers - did any actually attend), it got me thinking, is there a collective noun for a group of cachers. I would like to say a swarm because at some of the Albury cachers there were just lines of cachers waiting to sign logs.

I ran into and camped with plenty of NSW cachers during the event. There were some 80 teams from NSW at the event.

Well, the obvious is
A cache of geocachers

Others?

A search of cachers
A multi of cachers
A smiley of cachers
ACNoC (A Collective Noun of Cachers. We do love our acronyms and initialisms!)

I like A latitude of geocachers.

A couple of other ideas: an ammo can of cachers or a lunchbox of cachers

I always felt it should be 'a muggle of cachers' - Given those frequent incidences when two cachers arrive at the same cache and then both start fiddling around waiting for 'that darned muggle' to leave before they search..

Surely a confluence of cachers would be the most suitable one?

I like it, but wouldn't it be an eclipse of cachers.....(maybe there should be a TM in there somewhere)

Confluence is clever, Multi I like too (and an Eclipse has a ring to it, but against the T&Cs...)
