Since geocaching uses gps, why not go with constellation.

Multi and confluence I like.

I know we call a group of geocaches with machetes a 'slash'. Came up on our last hike up a lantana covered mountain.

Had a bit more of a think. A decending of cachers, in honour of those freshly published caches!x

Officially, would it be an "event" of cachers, unless they didn't find one, in which case it would be a "non-event" of cachers.

Convergence seems to fit well (a little better than confluence perhaps?)

Great suggestions! Love the Confluence. :)

And the sound a Confluence of Cachers makes? Why a Cacophany of course!

Cacophany: 1.harsh discordance of sound; dissonance: a cacophony of hoots, cackles, and wails.

I've definitely heard, and made, my share of those at various Caches. :P

No, the sound they make when they find the cache is cachinnation!

cachinnation [ˌkækɪˈneɪʃən]
n
1. raucous laughter
2. (Psychiatry) Inappropriate laughter, sometimes found in schizophrenia

G'day everyone... new here!
I'm Goyder....owzitgoin!..

Confluence doesn't sound too bad
I came up with....

A 'clutch' of cachers
A 'cluster' of cachers
..... and an obvious 'cache' of cachers.

Before "Caching" came along, caches were more known as "Weapons Cache" so how about
" Arms of cachers"   :-k

Caches were originally called 'stashes' so a stash of cachers could also work.
