Caching vest
It is actually for photography but I can see its virtue in other fields!

Not that I don't like it, but I does make a fashion statement

Re: Caching vest
Warning - the more pockets you have the more likely it is you'll misplace that elusive pen, torch, phone or notepad... (A curse I always note when I 'cleverly' wear cargo pants when caching and then spend minutes at each cache padding myself down to find where I've put my pen this time....

Re: Caching vest
My old SeV lightweight jacket is looking a bit threadbare now, but that's after being worn almost continually for four years (in ChCh) and every winter for the last eight years (in Perth)
My standard trousers are SeV cargo pants, which look like standard slacks but have more pockets than a whole series of Skippy!
The trick with remembering where things are is consistency. The headphones and other adaptors live in one pocket, the pens and pads in another, one's always left empty for the phone to go in, etc. You come to automatically reach into the right pocket for the wanted item.
Mama Bear is about to buy an SeV travel vest for herself, and plans to do away with carry-on luggage completely on her travels.

Rabbitto wears a jacket like the first one when he goes caching - he's like a walking storage cupboard
Can't bend over too quick though

Re: Caching vest
errrr yes...... you can thread your headphone cord through the jacket. Connects to your iPhone/iPod in the iPhone pocket and the buds emerge from the jacket next to each ear.Yurt wrote:Personal Area Network (PAN)?Facitman wrote:21 pockets? pppppppppffffffffffffffffttttttttttttttt that's not a jacket... Like Papa Bear certain things go in certain pockets, I always know where something should be.
The jacket is great for muggle rich locations, I've slipped a 1.2l sistema into an inside pocket and walked away with no one around knowing.

Re: Caching vest
I've carried my 10" netbook in one of the pockets of my vest.
Great for travelling; just drop the jacket on the conveyor belt and that's all my x-rayable stuff in one place!

I like how the advertisement at the bottom of the page asks if you need more pockets than the jacket you are currently viewingFacitman wrote:21 pockets? pppppppppffffffffffffffffttttttttttttttt that's not a jacket... This is a jacket

Only other problem is that the two that they are showing at the moment only have 3 pockets for the jacket, and 10 for the cargo pants.
Re: Caching vest
The page noted that I was viewing it on an iPad and proudly boasted that they had the only jackets which were iPad compatible and to "mouse over" the product for details.setsujoku wrote:I like how the advertisement at the bottom of the page asks if you need more pockets than the jacket you are currently viewingFacitman wrote:21 pockets? pppppppppffffffffffffffffttttttttttttttt that's not a jacket... iDevices are incompatible with "mouse over".

Re: Caching vest
I mainly use my SeV for traveling and not geocaching. Anything you carry in your pockets does not count as carry-on. You can fit a lot into a SeV. After reading this thread I am going to take the SeV out for a few cache runs to see how it goes.Papa Bear_Left wrote:I've carried my 10" netbook in one of the pockets of my vest.
